The Lyons decided
it was time to replace their previously-remodeled ranch house
style kitchen with one that complemented their Cape Cod style
house.
Kris and Katie's professional lives require high working efficiency
and interaction with their young family, all to work within
a compact space. The typical small doorway between Kitchen
and Dining Room was opened to become a wide archway that gives
both areas more sense of space. The rear entry was likewise
reconfigured and expanded in a way that added more Kitchen
wall cabinet space. And equally important, the Lyons' appreciation
of modern Scandinavian design became a most important aspect
of the Kitchen's aesthetics.
