Design for renovating older homes, historic preservation, and new houses of traditional character is the basis of my design practice. In the past 25 years, I have designed plans for renovating historically-designated houses, new infill structures to fit existing neighborhoods, artist studio-residences, rural retreats, and residence additions.

To make homes of bygone eras adapt to new ideas requires respect for past patterns. Using creative problem solving often applies to making construction costs work to meet budgets, as well as transforming sketches into inspired places for living.
